Name translating

Bruno Romualdo (Varnion Ómacolindo) #2282

Hi my friends, this is my first post here (im from Brazil, so sorry my english).

Im trying to create a Elvish name for me(i choose Quenya), so i my searchs my name Bruno (means Brown = Varnë) i turns Varnion (I found the Varnion, Varno or Varnon on the internet, tell me where to study to understand why add this ending, and if this is correct).

And i create a second name Ómacolindo (The Voice Bearer: Óma = Voice, and Colindo = Bearer), to mean something like the Dovahkiin, who carries the Shouts (dragon language, but in my case all the languages) inside him (I sincerely hope you guys understand lol). Can someone tell me if this is correct?

Fuz Ro Dah!

Your translations are fine. The -on/-ion/-o endings are masculine name endings, and they are used because Tolkien postulated that adjectives or nouns were not used as names in an unchanged form.

And Ómacolindo indeed means "voice bearer". An alternative could be Yellocolindo from yello "call, shout, cry of triumph" (eldamo.org)
