I'm trying to translate 'Into the West' by Annie Lennox and Howard Shore into Sindarin, and this is what I've got so far. I realize I won't be grammatically correct, more like a collection of words. I'm having particular trouble with 'to lay down', because all related words are either Early Quenya or associated with burial.

I believe it would be something like this:
Sedho dolegen laich ar lom,
While the verb "to lay down" may not exist as a gloss yet, the verb sedh- "to rest" does. Thus, it seems an adequate replacement for whatever verbs might exist in Early Quenya.
For the next line (Night is falling; we have come to journey's end), what should I use for falling? The words for nightfall are all older in conception, and to descend or to fall have similar problems.
