How to write 'decide' in Sindarin and Quenya?

I'm having trouble with translating "Decide" into Sindarin and Quenya. On this website it says 'penia', meaning 'set' or 'fix', but it is the one that comes up if I search *decide'. However, "thel-" means to resolve, to will, to mean and to intend; And "cil'" means to choose according to this dictionary: www.ambar-eldaron.com. I'm hoping some of you could help me pick the right translation of the word. The meaning it should have is the meaning Gandalf uses in: 'All you/we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you/us'.

It is for a tattoo that is going to say "Decide and Live" in Sindarin (or Quenya). I have come to the conclusion that 'and' is 'a' in Sindarin and 'to live' is 'cuia' and 'cuio' when written in the imperative form based on the fact a number of dictionaries are saying the same thing, but given most of them do not include the word 'decide' it stops my process a bit. So before I have permanent writing on my body, I would like to make sure I'm using the right words and spelling them correctly.

Your best bet would be to go with Cil in both languages. Sindarin Penia implies placing/setting/fixing in place an object, rather than making a decision.

Quenya in this case would probably be more reliable not to change (As new material is published flaws are often discovered in older translations, but Quenya is much more resistant to this effect because we have it described in much more complete detail). This translation also lacks neologisms.

"Decide and Live(!)" -> Á cilë ar á cuita(!) -> Á cilë ar á cuita(!)

Alternately you have the Sindarin translation, which assumes that the verb for "to choose" takes the same form as in Quenya. Even if there was a different form you could go with the justification that the verb was directly adopted from Quenya, which was known to happen (Original Sindarin word for "Sword" was Magol, but after the Ñoldor came the Quenya word Macil was adopted into Sindarin as Megil).

"Decide and Live(!) -> Cilo a Cuio(!) -> cilo a cuio(!) (For anyone seeing Cuio and wondering why I didn't mutate it: I'm operating off the example a minno: I think mutation due to a only happens to items being listed)

Okay, thank you very much :) It seems like the big issue afterward is whether I'll get it in Quenya or Sindarin. And yes, hopefully, one or more people can help as well, so I don't get a "fix in place and live"-tattoo ;)

One Quenya paraphrase with minimized theoreticality could be anya þandië/þandalë "to reach a (state of) abidingness" (< √STAN “fix, indicate, decide”).

Of course the root of Q. marta- “to define, decree, destine”, √MBAR bears the meanings “settle, dwell; establish, fix, decide, determine, make a decision” [ eldamo.org ]. Perhaps a theoretical formation * maru- would hence make sense, considering the attested "condition-changing" verbs turu-, telu-, nicu- .

So the quote in Quenya would be ‘Á maru ar á cuita’ as maru is in the imperative of marta? Or would ‘anya þandië/þandalë ar à cuita‘ be more precise? Do you know if there is a Sindarin equivalent? Again, thanks for the help :-)
