Early Quenya

qity-

verb. to knit

A verb appearing as ᴱQ. qity- “knit” in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s under the early root ᴱ√QITYI (QL/78). This verb also appeared in The Qenya Verb Forms documents form this period (PE14/28).

Neo-Quenya: I update this early root to ᴺ√KWIT “knit” to serve as the basis for Neo-Quenya “knitting” words, and would therefore adapt this verb as ᴺQ. quit- “to knit”.
