Early Quenya

liltie

noun. dancing, dance

A noun appearing in the Qenya Lexicon and as ᴱQ. liltie “dancing”, an elaboration of ᴱQ. lilt- “dance” (QL/55). In the contemporaneous Poetic and Mythological Words of Eldarissa it was glossed “dance” and equated to ᴱQ. lilt.

Neo-Quenya: ᴺQ. liltië “dancing” is still viable as the gerund of the 1930s verb Q. lilta- “to dance” (Ety/LILT; PE23/134). As a gerund, I would use liltië for the general activity of “dancing”, while a specific “dance” would be ᴺQ. liltë.
