Gnomish

haugrin

adjective. lowly, humble, mean

An adjective appearing as G. haugrin “lowly, humble, mean” in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s based on G. haug “low” (GL/48).

Neo-Sindarin: Since I retain ᴺS. haug “low” for purposes of Neo-Sindarin, I would retain this word as well, but adapted as ᴺS. hogren “lowly, humble, mean” to better fit Sindarin phonology.
