Name translation

Culuinárë #2365

Hello! I created this post because I have some doubts about the name, I really need help >< (I come from China, I'm sorry about my unskilled English)

I need a name for myself that means "Orange Sunlight" in Quenya and Sindarin, In the search, I found that Culuina=Orange, árë=Sunlight. Then I began to wonder if it was correct to put them together directly or if there was a better translation?

Anyway, thank you for helping me!

Adjectives usually follow the nouns they modify in Sindarin. They also undergo soft-mutation, thus altering the initial consonant. If we were to translate your name into that tongue, then it would be something like Aur Velingarn (with velingarn being the mutated form of melingarn, the Neo-Sindarin word for the color orange). If we were to make a compound of it, with aur and melingarn being combined, then we might have something like Melingarnor, with aur ("sunlight") being simplified to -or (for the diphthong au becomes such when in the second part of compounds).

The Quenya version of your name would be either Culuinárë or Culuinaurë, depending on which version of "sunlight" (árë/aurë) you wish to use. For the record, Quenya doesn't have consonant mutations as Sindarin does. So combining words is easier.
