Indes is supposed to be "this word"? Then as a timeless truth, I would suggest the aorist cire. (And that's not really the infinitive, presumably every tense stem can work in an infinitive construction)

It refers to the immediate moment when a skilled fencer should transition from one action to another (attack 1 to attack 2, defense to attack, parrying to disengaging, etc.
If fighting manuals agree with modern German usage, it's not silume "now", but rather "at the time under discussion", which to me seems like like a job for sa: salume, sás(se).
