Translation of a name for my cat ^_^

My name is Solange, my friends call me Sol, and I live in the south of Brazil. I've been following the forum for a while now, but I only created a user account now. However, I'm a complete newbie, so I came here to seek your help. I know this may seem like a silly question, but I wanted validation and help translating a name. I have a kitten and I'd like to call her "Cheese Lover" in Quenya. Looking at the words here on the site, I found Tyur for cheese, and "(n)dil" for friend/lover. I based my name on Earendil's name to create Tyurendil for the kitten. I'm almost certain that I could be wrong... and since I love Tolkien's work very much and this name is also a tribute, I'd like it to be as correct as possible from the beginning. Could you help me with this, please?

Naming your cat in Elvish is really cool. The people that might find it silly are probably boring!

Tyurendil seems perfectly fine. However, at an earlier stage of Quenya's development, the stem form of Tyur was Tyurd-. Usually in compound words, the stem rather than the dictionary form might be preferred. I'm saying "usually" and "preferred", because nothing is certain in Quenya, as Tolkien changed his mind a lot (just look at the multiple systems of plural pronominal verb endings). Using the stem, the name would be Tyurdendil. But with the uncertainty that I mentioned before, neither is "more correct" than the other. (EDIT: I just realised 10 seconds after posting that the fact that it was an earlier stage of development probably means it's not valid anymore and was overwritten by the more recent stemless form)

Looking at the other options, you could also use Tyurnildo for a male and Tyurnildë for a female.

Or if you'd like something shorter, then maybe Tyurdil. Which is cool, because in this case, it doesn't really matter whether the cheese part is tyur or tyurd-, because tyurd- + -dil would be assimilated into Tyurdil anyway.

To sum things up, it really is mostly up to you, whatever you like the most. That's the beauty of Quenya (or more proper, Neo-Quenya): 100 people, 100 ways to express things.
