Hi! I am trying to find the most accurate translation for my name Quinn into sindarin.
From what I am able to find is that the name Quinn is the anglicized form of the Celtic name Conn and it means Wise, Head, Chieftain, or king.
There is a sindarin word that is extremely similar to the name Conn with the exact same meaning, that word being Caun. its used in compounds in many names in its prefix form -gon.
That part of my name seems to have an answer but im stuck coming up with the correct sindarin word for Wise to use in my name.
It seems that there are a couple different words for wise, being Goll (used in Fingolfin) Sael, and one that is used only in Frodo's sindarin name Daur (apparently from the root word Dara meaning Wise).
I'm not sure which one would be most accurate in a sindarin elven name and how to combine them accurately. any help would be very appreciated, thank you!
