A neologism for “tomato” created by Paul Strack specifically for Eldamo, a loan word from Nahuatl tomatl. In a 2025-11-23 post to the Vinyë Lambengolmor Discord Server (VLDS), Luinyelle instead suggested amanorva "tomato” = “Aman-apple” as a combination of Aman and orva “apple”, with the assumption that the Noldor first encountered tomatos in Aman and then brought knowledge of that fruit to Middle Earth. I feel that amanorva involves too many assumptions about the history of Middle Earth and prefer a loan word from Nahuatl instead.
