The Noldorin equivalent of Silpion appearing in The Etymologies from the 1930s, but according to Tolkien this name was not used (Ety/SIL).

Conceptual Development: In the Gnomish Lexicon from the 1910s, the Gnomish equivalent of Silpion was Silpios or Piosil (GL/67), a combination of Sil “Moon” and piog “berry” (LT1A/Sil, LT2A/Silpion).
