A word given as G. eltha- “to alter, change” in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s, originally given as elta- or eltha- {“to thrust, dig, poke (inward)” >>} “draw, tug, lug” (GL/32), but this originally meaning was transferred to ilta- (GL/51).
