A word for “a pit” in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s derived from the early root ᴱ√ndolo (GL/30). In the contemporaneous Gnomish Grammar (GG), dolm is given as an example of word preserving ancient nd in mutated forms: i·ndolm “✱the pit” (GG/8).
