A neologism for an “movie theatre, cinema, movies” coined by Luinyelle posted on 2024-12-24 in the Vinyë Lambengolmor Discord Server (VLDS), a combination of levemma “movie, motion picture” and mar(da) “house”. Luinyelle suggested its reduced form levemmar might be reinterpreted as a plural noun, but that seems unlikely to me for such a late compound, so I think it might simply have a stem form of levemmard- instead.

An untranslated form appearing in Notes on Names (NN) from 1957 derived from the root √PHELEG/PHELEK (PE17/118), possibly a verb derived from ✱phelektā- or ✱phelegtā-. The derivatives of this root had to do with mines and tunnels, so perhaps this verb meant “✱to excavate, tunnel, mine”.
