Would be great to have a Still Needs Answer indicator

david wendelken #4497

Here's an example. Create a Needs Answer indicator for translation requests. Valid values are "Yes", "Maybe", "No", or "Probably".

This indicator should show up in the list of translation requests, and we should be able to filter any combination of the allowed values.

When someone asks a translation question, the needs answer indicator is set to "Yes" automatically.

When the Original Poster (OP) thinks they got an answer, they can set it to "No" manually.

If someone other than the OP thinks the question was answered, they can change the indicator to "Maybe". The OP can reset the indicator to "No" or back to "Yes" if they still need an answer.

If a request has been at "Maybe" for a month, have a program automatically set it to "Probably" as the OP either forgot to mark it as answered or forgot about it.

This will help folks who want to help by giving answers because they'll know which ones to look at first.

Great suggestion! I've been thinking about something similar lately because of the varying quality of responses as well as the seemingly perpetual contention about what's considered correct.

I think this is something I should prioritise.

Thank you for sharing!
