Can someone help me with this phrase "Enter this place in peace!"? I want to translate this into Sindarin. I used the dictionary word by word and sounds like this "Minna hen sad vi îdh". It feels like it's something wrong but I don't know well what it is, because I'm too new in Tolkien's language.
I can offer a few suggestions...
First, the word "enter", would end in -o, such as in edro, dartho, among others - so that would be Minno.
Next, you could use either sen, or si, though I'd lean for sen. Sad is good, so next would be "peace" - which I'm assuming in your example is peace, the opposite of strife, as opposed to rest and repose. So I would suggest sîdh, perhaps.
So the end result would be Minno sen sad vi sîdh. Others might dispute this, and your mileage may vary.
