Phrase translation in Quenya

Oloryn #113

I am trying to translate the phrase, "I have rolled it!" into Quenya. Akin to Aragorn's exclamation, "I have found it!" from Return of the King, "Yé! utúvienyes!" The closest term for roll I have come across is "tolu-" but I am unfamiliar with how to conjugate it.

Hi Oloryn!

What is the meaning of the expression? Do you mean literally rolling something around?

Oloryn #117

Hi Aldaleon, The meaning is indeed rolling an item around. Specifically a die, or set of dice, in a game like Dungeons and Dragons or a board game. However I figured the phrase "I have rolled the dice to the best outcome!" is a bit of a mouthful, and so "I have rolled it!" seemed more apt.

There is no attested word for to roll, but we can derive a verb out of Q. peltas "pivot" >> *pelta- "to roll/pivot", perfect tense epélie-. Thus we arrive at:

Epélien sa! "I have rolled it!"

Brilliant! Thank you. Would it be appropriate to say "Yé! Epélien sa!" i.e. "Lo! I have rolled it!" or is there a different vocative interjection? And lastly what would it look like in Tengwar? (I truly can't thank you enough for your help with this, trying this myself would have taken far longer and my fear of error is tremendous.)

No worries!

yé epélien sa!
yé epélien sa!
"Lo! I have rolled it!"
