Dungeons & Dragons 5e sample alphabet

In the Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition player's handbook, there is a sample alphabet of Elvish script. I was wondering how valid it is, or if anyone has any knowledge about this particular samples origin. Open to anyone's thoughts and opinions. Thanks

I believe Dungeons and Dragons uses a completely different elvish language. The alphabet used is not the same as Tolkien's Tengwar script, which can be found on this website, with examples above each word, as well as on many other websites.

I like using this one: tecendil.com for transcribing words into Tengwar.
