Neo-quenya Proposal: "Not all those who wander are lost" Translation

Cirmacin #556

Ondo Carniliolo's Translation (from quenya101.com)

Original by Tolkien:

All that is gold does not glitter,

Not all those who wander are lost;

The old that is strong does not wither,

Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes, a fire shall be woken,

A light from the shadows shall spring;

Renewed shall be blade that was broken,

The crownless again shall be king

Transliteration:

Ilya i laurëa ná, mirilya lá,

Queni yar ranyar ullumë vanwë umir,

I yára ya tulca ná, hesta lá

Tumnë talmar rahtainë nixenen umir

Yúlallo nárë nauva coivaina,

Cálë lómillon tuiuva,

Ceura nauva hyanda ya né rácina,

I ríelóra ata aran nauva.

Translation:

Hi Hadron,

Quenya101's translation may have become obsolete due to new material like Parma Eldalamberon. If you would like an updated (but not fully accurate once new materials are out) translation, see below:

Roandil's translation: Part 1 Part 2 (Newest as of current time, may become obsolete)

Kind Regards,

Quildao

Thanks Quildamo,

I understand. Roandil's translation makes good sense, and I'll accept it as a better version. However, I still wonder why such a translation is not yet added as a Neo-quenya phrase. Why isn't it yet so?

Sincerely,

Hadron
