Doriathrin

adurant

place name. Adurant

A river in N. Ossiriand (SM/331), a compound of ado “double” (Ety/AT(AT)) and rant “flow, course of river” (Ety/RAT). It must be an older compound, since it preserved the archaic form adu- of ado.

See S. Adurant for further discussion.
