What translation options are there for phrases like “Aragorn, son of Arathorn” and “Artanis, daughter of Arafinwe”, other than the common constructions like “Aragorn Arathornion” and “Artanis Arafinwien/Arafinwiel”??

Besides, I am interested in the difference between -iel and -ien. Both endings are used in both Sindarin and Quenya. Sindarin: Luthien Tinuviel, Tauriel. Quenya: Tindomiel, Almiel, Silmarien. When is it better to use which?

I would not use them in a phrase like that in Sindarin. Aragon ion(d) Arathorn would be how I would do it. Because ti would be to many syllables with Arathornion.

Artanis is Quenya so I don't know what the construction would be.

In Sindarin possible Arannis maybe using ar(a)- pref. “noble, royal, high” + -dis [nd], suf. “feminine agent” So possible Arannis iell/sell Finarfin
