Quenya translation help

Genie Benie #905

Hello, I'm still a novice at this, may anyone help?

I want to translate this: Allow me to make mortals marvel at your noble being.

I got this: Lavnin carfîrimor tatalla arataealalya?? I want the "noble being" one word, is that justified?

Many thanks.

Also, what's the coding to make words italic and such?

The translation you need into Quenya might be expressed thus:

Á lavë nin tyarë fírimar tatalla artëastalya. Or:

Ánin lavë tyarë fírimar tatalla artëastalya.

Or in case you want a passive infinitive in the last clause:

Á lavë nin tyarë artëastalya atatalla fírimainen.

They three equally match the translation you need (although maybe other better terms could be used for ëasta (being, essence) and the preffix art(a)- (noble, lofty, high), or even for the verb tyar- (to cause)). The first sentence you typed is not correct; the only thing that could be considered correct there is tatalla as you wrote it. Regarding such matter, I recommend you to check en.m.wikibooks.org and middangeard.org.uk for grammar and keep using this website for most vocabulary, or also eldamo.org regarding vocabulary, all of them good webpages for online Quenya learning. Although, try not to use only and exclusively these websites, of course none of them is the one Elvish website to rule them all! The more resources, the better.

Also, you can turn words into italics by writing your text between one astherisk at the beginning and at the end, and with two astherisks on each side to turn them bold. While writing and article, next to Edit you'll find the Formatting help section, where hopefully you'll be able to solve your doubts.

I'm way off scale! I had a quick interest in Quenya this time last year but now it's back with ardour, I'll be definitely familiar with the basics before I'll post again. Thank you for your reply.
